Rachel Brong suggested that a new posting should have the content included in the email so that you can determine the urgency to reply. This should only happen for new posts and not for comments.

I like Rachel’s idea but not the entire contents of the post, perhaps just the title or subject line. Agree that comments not be included in the email notification.
