USDA released the advanced prices for September. The NAS prices for butter was up 2.7%, NFDM and Cheese were up 4% whey up 10%.
Class I – $18.30/cwt up 4%
Butter fat – $2.61/lb up 3%
Overall, everything looks up 5-10%
One of the things that we need to remember is that there is significant lag in prices. For example, the Class I price for September is already set. Consequently, things like tariff deals take a long time to result in price changes.
